Strategies For Tactful Conversations

If you are worried about your communication skills, this may sound like a difficult challenge. Fortunately there is an easy way to learn the basic elements of tact.

Think before you speak. The best way to prevent a verbal blunder is not to say it in the first plave. Avoid tactless comment by thinking about what you want to say and how you want say it before you say it.

Accept your mistakes quickly and say sorry.

Converse, don't complete. Do you approach conversation as a competition in which there is a winner and a loser? Is it your aim to impress people with your knowledge and verbal skill by punching holes in their opinions, arguing over details, or correcting their mistakes? If you adopt an aggressive, "TALK TO WIN" conversational style, then you will certainly impress people, but in the wrong way.

Time your comments. Before you lay your convertional cards on the table, be sure the person to whom you wish to present your viewpoint is ready to listen.

Focus on behavior....not on personality.

Uncover hidden feelings. Saying difficult things tactfully is more likely if you first attempt to uncover and understand the other person's feelings.

Listen for feedback. Poor listening skills frequently lead to tactless comments, criticism or indiscreet remarks.

Use these tactful strategies when ever you talk to people.....even when you are not in difficult or stressful conversations. Then when you are faced with a pressured situations, you will have had some practice with the techniques.

Tactful conversations will help you to make lots of good friends in the field of business who will help you to achieve your goals and aspirations.

Motivational Thoughts On Persistence

When discouragement tries to beset you; when it seems as though your efforts toward success have been in vain, remember to hold on to this statement: nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. A good statement to use in the face of distressing setbacks is: I am not discouraged, I am persistence and I go forward in life. Remind yourself often: I am not on the way out, I am on the way up.

You must remember that all it takes is a little more persistence in thinking big, working steadily, and expecting big results in order to bring them forth in your life. People who chase dreams are the most likely to catch them.

Always meet difficult experiences with persistence. Physical science has discovered that everything can be reduced to a few basic elements and that if the entire universe were destroyed it could be built up again from a single cell. In like manner, you can expand or rebuild your financial world from a right attitude which you persistently hold to. By refusing to give up or give in to failure, finally is worn out by your persistence and gives up its power to success. When hard experiences appear on your pathway, meet them on their terms with persistence, expecting success to come out of them.

Persistence alone is all powerful. If one does not persist, one does not achieve lasting success in any field. If one does dare to persist toward success, regardless of lack of education, background, talent, influence, lack of money, one can and achieve success. Persistence is a characteristic to which success invariably surrenders.

Failure, disappointment or defeat simply as signposts that success is just around the corner. Use them as great incentives to forge ahead, and achieve your goals and aspirations in life.

How To Develop The Quality Of Decisiveness?

The first of the principles that we must come to understand closely is the quality of decisiveness. The ability to say yes at the right time, and then move into action with everything we have got, or learn to say no under high pressure tactics and make your decision stick.

The special technique of reaching valid, and supportable decisions comes from three easy mental thinking. These are:
Listening
Finding facts by raising questions for discussion.
Sorting and evaluating the information that is gathered.

Also you must learn something about logic. The main goalm here is to learn the steps that produce logical thinking and with the trait of logical thinking added to one's abilities, the characteristic of decisiveness grows and expands as an attribute in your way of doing things.

Accept Responsibility For Everything In LIfe

From today onward, accept complete responsibility for everything you are and everything you will ever be. Refuse to make excuses or to blame other people for your problems or shortcomings. Stop complaining about things in your life that you are not happy about. Refuse to criticize other people for anything. You are responsible. If there is something in your life that you don't like, it is up to you to change. You are in charge of your life.

The biggest mistake you can ever make is to think that you work for anyone other than yourself. You are always self-employed. It does not matter if you are working for somebody else. When you see yourself as self-employed, you develop an entrepreneur mentality, the mentality of highly independent, self-responsible, self-starting individuals. Instead of waiting for things to happen, you make things happen. You see yourself as the boss of your own life. You see yourself as completely in charge of your physical health, your financial well-being, your career, your relationships, your lifestyle, your home, and every other element of your existence. This is the mindset of self-made millionaire.

Remember, self-responsible people are intensely result oriented. They always take high levels of initiative. They volunteer for assignments and are always asking for more responsibility. As a result, they become the most valuable and respected people in their organizations. They continually prepare themselves for positions of higher authority and responsibility in the future. You should do the same and I assure you that you will achieve success beyond your wildest imagination.

You should identify your reasons and excuses for not committing wholeheartedly to your financial goals. Is there anyone or anything in your life that you are blaming for holding you back? Whatever it might be, accept complete responsibility for your life and take action today for your success in life.

Acknowledge Your Inner Intelligence

I'd like to differentiate, for a moment, between your intelligence and your innner intelligence. Most of us enjoy or at least have no problem acknowledging how smart we are (for example, at figuring things out with our intellect). Few men, however (at least I've spoken to), seem to acknowledge an even deeper intelligence that exists within all of us.

Our inner intelligence, when trusted, is a great source of comfort. Some people refer to inner intellligence as wisdom. Whatever you call it, it's that part of us that knows what to do. But it knows what to do, not because you've racked your brain about it, but because you've allowed an answer to come to you.

As men, we often pride ourselves on our ability to go through things. We like to think that we can do it, so we rely on hard work, perserance, and effort. And the good news is, very often that's a great assest that works well.

On the other hand, there are times when we would be better served by backing off or by not trying so hard. The truth is, there are times when we don't have an answer or don't know what to do. Other times, we are pondering on question of the heart....something that requires not intelligence in the traditional sense, but wisdom.

Suppose, for example, that you need to have discussion with your teenager about the dangers of drug use or to talk to your wife about a concern you are having. or you need to look at an old problem in a new way. There are many times when cookie-cutter answers don't fit or when turning to experts or common knowledge won't work. Usually, these times are related to matters of the heart. They are issues that require a deeper type of intelligence.

Wisdom transcends traditional intelligence. Instead of surfacing when we find our mind with data, information, and plans of action, it shows up in the absence of these things. In other words, instead of thinking about an answer, we actually stop thinking of an answer. We consciously empty our mind, which has the effect of allowing this other, more unconscious form of thought to unfold. We simply trust that the answer is in there, even if it's not immediately apparent.

On the surface, this might sound a little weird because it's more difficult to qualify this type of intelligence. While it's not as visible as traditional intelligence, I can assure you that it's anything but weird. To the contrary, it's a powerful and extremely effective way to approach life. The answers that you receive will delight and perhaps even surprise you. You'll find yourself saying things like, "Wow, where did that come from?'

Knowing that you have this type of intelligence within you is very reassuring because it lets you off the hook. Instead of panicking when you don't have an answer or pretending that you do....you'll feel more peaceful knowing that if you quiet down and wait, you'll find an answer just around...the corner. By experimenting with this type of intelligence, your life will become richer and more peaceful.

How To Get Along With Others

Try to say less than you think. And how you say it is often often more important than what you say.

You should not make too many promises which you can't honor them.

If criticism is needed, do it gracefully and tactfully.

Let everyone you meet feel that you regard him as a person of importance.

It is always a good idea to discuss the problem. Don't argue. It is a quality of a rational mind to be able to disagree without being disagreeable.

You should not indulge in gossip. it is a waste of time and can be destructive.

You should be considerate about the feelings of others. Any humor at the expense of a friend is not worth it, and it may hurt more than you know.

You should not pay too much attention to insulting or derogatory remarks about you. You should behave in such a way that nobody believes him.

You should not give too much importance to rewards. If you deserve credit someone will definitely remember. Success is much sweeter that way.

You should not burden those around you by dwelling on your minor aches and pains and small disappointments.

Always remember: The true measure of an individual is how he treats a person who is not behaving well with them.

Live For Today

It's fine to have long-term goals, but if all your goals are in the distant future, you may never get around to enjoy them. Why put your life on hold? Instead, begin to view each day as special....one that you won't have next week, or next year. Life is short and you never know when it will end. That doesn't mean you should live wild, but it does mean that you must recognize that today counts.

Make a commitment to put your energies into today. By living your life one day at a time, you reaffirm your choices and live life to the fullest. No matter what comes, you will make each day a constructive one in your life.

Every morning when you get up, look at life and see what positive thoughts and actions you can take to confirm your legacy.

Can I do something for my legacy?
Can I be patient?
Can I do something for others?
Can I be compassionate?
Can I take care of my own mind and body?
Can I live with what's in my heart?
Definitely you can all these things.

Once you set these ideas in motion, they will become a pattern of behavior that works for you. You will start to feel more relaxed, confident, honest, and flexible. You will have a much greater range of intellectual and emotional happiness.

Make a list of the things that matter in your life. Are you doing these things now and living a positive life, or are you always planning for some time may never come in the far distant future?

Discipline Is Essential For Success

Discipline is a choice....discipline is not an innate human characteristic....something you were born with or without. To be disciplined or nondisciplined is choice you make every minute and every hour of your life. Discipline is nothing more than the process of focusing on any chosen activity without interruption until that activity is complete.

To become what others refer to as a discipline person requires that you "DO DISCIPLINE" over and over as a conscious act until repetition makes discipline a subconscious habit. Doing discipline means that you choose not to allow fatigue or interruption to become an excuse for inaction or a change of plan.

Here are some facts that will help you zero on the power of discipline.
Discipline is the process of total time comtrol.
Discipline is the ability to stay focused on your chosen path without detour, distraction, or interruption.
discipline is the ability to keep all agreements with yourself and with others, without blame, excuses, or caving in to obstacles.
Discipline is the ability to show up on time, every time.
Discipline is the ability to keep your mind, body, and emotions in balance, no matter what's going on around you...even when what's going on around you produces fear, anxiety, embarrassment.
Discipline is the power to keep gpoing forward when everything around you seems to be pulling you back.

Discilpine generates trust and confidence in yourself and attracts trust and confidence from others. The constant act of discipline magnifies your power of accomplish at least 100 percent. Plus, discipline frees up hours of personal time each day, which can be invested in what you value most, such as family, health, and peace of minfd and financial security.

No aspect of discipline is more important than keeping your promises....doing exactly what you say you will do it.
The loyalty and trust of other people generate the cooperation necessary for achieving your dreams and goals.

Always remember: Excuses are only made for failure, never success.

Dedicate Yourself To Lifelong Learning

You have a unlimted capacity to learn and improve in your chosen field. You have more brains, ability, and intelligence than you could ever use if you were to work on developing yourself for the rest of your life. Remember, there is no obstacle that you cannot overcome, no problem you cannot solve, and no goal you cannot achieve by applying the power of your mind to your situation.

There are three keys to lifelong learning. The first key is to read in your field for at least 30 to 60 minutes each day. Reading for an hour each day will translate into about one book per week. One book per week will translate into 50 books per year. Since the average adult reads less than one book per year, when you begin reading one hour per day, one book per week, this alone will give you an incredible edge in your field.

The second key to lifelong learning is to listen to audio programs in your car as you drive to your work. Turn your car into learning machine. Never let your car motor be running without an educational tape playing.

The third key to lifelong learning is to attend every course and seminar you can possibly find that can help you to be better in your field. The combination of books, audio programs, and seminar will enable you to save hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars, and many years of hard work, in achieving the level of financial success that you desire.

You should make a decision today to become a lifelong learner. You will be amazed at the effect that it has in your career. Lifelong learning can be a major factor in your becoming a very rich man.

Communication And Success

When you wish to say something in the best way possible, take the time and make the effort to listen first. Commuication is the most effective when it is a two-way, interactive process. You must listen carefully, thoughtfully, attententively, with focus on what is being said and who is saying it. You must listen not only with your ears, but also with your knowledge, your intuition, your compassion and your genuine desire to understand. Listen well, and create a powerful connection with those to whom you listen.

You must seek to understand, and you'll be much better able to make yourself understood. Listen well, and you'll learn the most effective way to say whatever you have to say.

The most well-chosen words come from first using your ears before you ever open your mouth. Listen, really listen, and you'll have plenty of valuable things to say. If you master your communication skills, nobody can stop your progress and success in life. So you must spend lots of time to learn this important and essential skill. Good luck.

Self-Confidence Is Essential To Success

Nothing succeeds like confidence. When you truly and justifiably confident, it radiates from you like sunlight, and attracts success to you like magnet. It's so important to believe in yourself. Believe that you can do it, under any odds and circumstances. Because if you believe you can, then you really will. That belief just keeps you searching for the answers, and then very soon you can get it.

Confidence is more than an attitude. It comes from knowing exactly where you are going, exactly how you are going to get there. It comes from acting with integrity and confidence. It comes from a strong sense of purpose. It comes from a strong commitment to responsibility, rather than just let life happen.

One simple way to develop self-confidence is to do the thing you fear and get a record of successful experience behind you. Confidence is compassionate and understanding. It is not arrogant. Arrogance is born out of insecurity. Confidence comes from strength and integrity.

Confidence is not just believing you can do it. Confidence is knowing you can do it. Knowing you are capable of accomplishing anything you want, and live life with confidence.

Anything can be achieved through focused, determined effort, commitment and self-confidence. Your life is not what you want it to be, you have the power to change it, and you must make changes on a moment by moment basis. Live your priorities. Live with your goals. Act with your own purpose, and you will live the life you want.

Remember, your life only gets better when you get better. And since there is no limit to how much better you can become, there is no limit to how much better you can make your life.

Your decision to become excellent at what you do, to join the top 10 percent in your field, is the turning point in your life. It is the key to great success. It is also the foundation of high levels of self-esteem, self-respect, and personal pride. When you are really good at what you do, you feel wonderful about yourself. Being excellent with other people. You feel happy and proud when you know you are at the top your field.

You must identify your key result areas in your current job. What are the parts of your work that you must absolutely, positively perform in an excellent fashion to move to the top of your field? Where are you strong and where are you weak? Make a plan today to get better in one skill area where improvement can help you the most. This commitment alone can make you a self-made millionaire in the course of your career.

How To Develop Your Intution For Success

Intuition is similar to a radio receiving through which ideas, plans or thoughts flash into the conscious mind. These flashes have been described as hunches, inspirations, or promptings of the small voice within. It is through intuition that musicians, artists, writers, scientists, and the saints of God, achieve their higher goals in life.

There are two types of intuition: Yes phase of intuition comes in such a quiet, gentle way that you are inclined to ignore its promptings.
The No phase of intuition is often more pronounced. It gives you an uncomfortable feeling that you can't cast off unless you follow your No guidance.

Here is a definite formula for developing the Yes and No powers of your intuition.
You must realize that intuition is a spiritual faculty of the mind which does not explain or reason but simply point the way to your greater good. It is up to you to follow the intuition path in faith and confidence, in order to claim your good. As you go about your daily life, whether your work is mental or physical, act as though you are in the presence of divine intelligence, divine intuition. Train yourself to realize that divine intution is right with you, is interested in you, knows all about you, and delights in guiding and helping you.

As you take these steps mentally, you will find you do not have to struggle, even, in your thinking, to make things right and better. Instead, you will discover that whatever you think about, give your attention to or are interested in, begins to reveal its secrets to you.

At this moment you strongly feel as though you were in the presence of divine intelligent and intuitive wisdom, which knows your needs, is interested, able and happy to help you, you will find not only that your abilities are increasing more and more, but also that you are being instructed from within about many things you need to know which will help to reach your goals and aspirations.

Put Your Problem-Solving Mind To work

Are you facing a difficult problem, or is there some goal that seems completely out of reach?
You have within you the solution to the problem, or the plan of action for reaching your goal.
First of all you have to define the situation as you understand it. Then write down all aspects of it in details. If it's a problem, list all the possible solutions you have considered, and then act on the best solution to your problem.

If it's goal, write down every detail of what you want. For example, if your goal is to start your own business, describe the business, being as specific as possible about the product or service you will offer, how many employees you need, what kind of facilities, equipment and financing will be necessary. Next, make a specific list of all the obstacles standing in your way. Finally, write down why you want to start this business.

After the above mentioned exercise, hand the job over to your subconscious mind with the full confidence that you will receive an answer. It is a psychological law that whatever we desire to accomplish we must impress upon the subconscious mind. Then do something fun, relaxing and stimulating. Take your mind off your situation.

There is a every chance that you get your answer within a day or two. Don't discard any thoughts or ideas, rather, explore everything that comes to mind. Your answer may come in a most unexpected form.

This method really works. Your subconscious mind has an amazing ability to integrate information and provide useful, meaningful solutions if you will just let it.
Give your mind the opportunity to think every once in a while, and you will be amazed at the results.

Work, Worship, Love, And Play

We suppose all of us havec wondered sometime or other, if there is some particular way of living that would assure us a reasonably contended and happy personal life. Yes there is....work, worship, love, and play. It is the exercise of these, each in its proper proportion, that we find the satisfaction of our basic needs. It is also through them that we obtain many of the extra things that all of us individually have learned to want and desire for a richer life.

You must remember that is through the first of these, work, that we acquire our material necessities and luxuries of life. People have created new medicines, new machines, for the betterment of humanity, through work. Lots of charity work is going on in the world by people who are compassionate toward the less fortunate member of the society.

And, it is through worship that we satisfy the race old yearning of reaching upward to a Power or Nature or God greater than ourselves. It gives us peace of mind and provide us strength in the time of adversity. It is only through it that man, realizing his inadequacies, can find security in life. It is man, the limited, drawing strength from the unlimited.

And it is only through Love that man becomes a happy man. This emotion help us to raise our families happily, to forgive people of their wrong doing, to do charity work for the benefit of humanity.

Next come play. By play we mean doing something just for the joy of doing it, just going out for a walk with some friend or spouse, tending a flower bed, or painting a picture. Play is the great balancer in life. It relaxes us, the destroyer of tensions.

So, as a recipe for happy living, we give you the work, worship, love, and play.

Don't Take Life Too Seriously

Most of us could do a much better job of living effectively if we did not take life quite so seriously. Life, of course, is a serious business. It imposes many responsibilities on us. It presents many problems. There are, however sensible limits as to how we must look upon these important, and to what extent we must accept as personal obligations.

We also take life too seriously when we fail to distinguish between the things that are really important and those that are of little consequence. This applies both to our problems and difficulties, and to the things that we want for our well-being and happiness.

Most of our problems are not important ones. Many of them are of so little consequence in the totality of our lives that whether we find a solution for them or not is of little significance. To forget about them is usually the best course of action. So it is with many of the things that we want or that we think we need for our well-being and happiness. Actually having them or not having them, adds little to our life. In our sense of values, to place them in the same category as we do the indispensable needs of life, such as health, means of a livelihood, companionship, love, honor, and peace of mind is to be facetiously too serious in our attitude toward life.

In conclusion, when we give the same weight to what is of little importance as we do to what is indispensable, we take life too seriously. In doing this, we definitely waste energies that could be used to live more effectively and happily.

Always Dream Big Dreams

Always dream big dreams! Allow yourself to imagine and fantasize about the kind of life you would like to live. Think about the amount of money you would like to earn and have in your bank account. All successful men and women begin with a dream of something wonderful and different from what they have today.
You always tend to move in the direction of your dominant dreams, images, and visions. The very act of allowing yourself to dream big dream big dreams actually raises your self-esteem and causes you to like and respect yourself more. It improves your self-concept and increases your level of self-confidence. It increases your personal level of self-respect and happiness. There is something about dreams and visions that is exciting and that stimulates you to do and be better than you ever have before.
Here is a great question for you to ask and answer, over and over again: What one thing would I dare to dream if I knew I could not Fail? If you were absolutely guaranteed of success in any one goal in life, large or small, short-term or long-term, what would it be? What one great goal would you dare to dream if you knew you could not fail?
Remember, dreaming big dreams is the starting point of achieving your goal of financial independence. The number one reason that people never succeed financially is because it never occurs to them that they can do it. As a result, they never try. they never get started. They continue to go around in financial circles, spending everything they earn and a little bit more besides. But when you begin to dream big dreams about financial success, you begin to change the way you see yourself and your life. You begin to do different things, bit by bit, gradually, until the whole direction of your life changes for the better. Dreaming big dreams is the starting point of financial success and of becoming a very rich man.
